For organisations wanting a secondment agreement to record agreed terms with an organisation which will be hosting an employee during a secondment on a temporary basis. This document is not intended to be used for permanent arrangements.

This document is right for your organisation if:

  • You are intending to second an employee to an external organisation on a temporary basis;
  • You require an agreement to confirm the terms agreed with the external host organisation.
  • You are the external host organisation.

This document is not right for your organisation if:

  • The secondment is intended to be a permanent arrangement;
  • You are seconding an employee to another role within your organisation or to an associated organisation.

Please note: This document will need to be dated by hand on the date that i is agreed between the parties, which will also both need to sign the document where indicated.

What do I need before I start?

• A copy of the employee’s contract of employment;
• Details of the arrangements which will apply during the secondment;
• Details of any changes to the employee’s terms and conditions. We would recommend that you purchase our Letter of Secondment for this purpose.

Remember: If you don’t have everything you need you can make a start, save the information and return to complete the form another time.
